Have I lost my focus?
I’ve received a couple of emails, txt messages, and a phone call about my focus… “have you lost your focus?” “No posts lately.” “Have “they” shut you down?” Who is “they”?
No, I have not lost my focus! No “they” have not shut me down.
It’s a bit strange. The Lord’s dealings with me have been deep and personal these days. I still do not know what it’s about. Yet I know… told you it was strange. But the complexity has left me a little bottled up. Kind of feels like my new photo of Niagara Falls. Open up and take a drink of that!
The following quote from today’s Oswald Chambers is really good. It kind of captures me right now.
If you are going to be used by God, He will take you through a number of experiences that are not meant for you personally at all. They are designed to make you useful in His hands, and to enable you to understand what takes place in the lives of others. Because of this process, you will never be surprised by what comes your way. You say, “Oh, I can’t deal with that person.” Why can’t you? God gave you sufficient opportunities to learn from Him about that problem; but you turned away, not heeding the lesson, because it seemed foolish to spend your time that way. (My Utmost for His Highest, November 5).
Now read Jonah 1:2-3.
